Was reminded to make 4 birthday cards to bring to work today! Yikes! Am pretty happy with how they turned out. They are 1/2 fold cards.

June 24 - Day 71 - Quadra Island Quilt and Garden Show!
My sister treated me out to a morning at the Quadra Island Quilt and Garden Show! We were excited to see that the Quilt of the Month Block we both participated in “Topeka Rose”, was shown, and that unbeknownst to the quilter, our quilt blocks were placed side by side! (Top left of the quilt, my block is the right one)
I took over 300 pictures! I left the event exhausted but inspired (in a good way!) Thanks sis!

June 22 - Day 69
An eventful day. Marcel went to get his hearing checked, and will be getting new hearing aids in a couple of weeks! Between going to there and to the doctor, our day was fully booked. The only picture I have to share is from my sister & my trip to Port Alberni. A lovely old farm along Stirling Arm Drive, heading to Sproat Lake in Port Alberni.
June 21 - Day 68 - Day trip to visit Barb’s tree!
Cody, Arlis & I had an enjoyable day trip to visit the Northstar Sour Cherry tree we planted in our sister Barb’s honor. It is about 2 years old, and it had approx. 12 cherries on it! It has grown around 1 foot since we planted it April 30th, 2011.

June 20 - Day 67
Other than visiting dear friends who are like family, I got to make lunch for us in my Copenhagen Solar Cooker!
And then of course, there was the beach to enjoy! This is the way the beach looked at 5:30 am the morning I left. So peaceful and beautiful!
June 19 - Day 66 - Going crabbing for Stargo
I’m not sure which “artsy” shadow I like the best! We had a good walk, but no crabs to be found for Stargo!
June 17 - Day 64 - My favorite thing to do when camping

June 4 - Day 51 Front yard is all done!
Nicotiana and dwarf blue morning glories planted alternately along the edge of the bed.
1/2 cubic yard of rotted (soil like) mulch, and 1 yard of shredded mulch, spread over the front yard beds this past weekend.
